Incorporated in Brussels, 1888 Company was founded in 1888 to exploit two small steelworks at Goffin du côté Nord de la rue de Nivelles, Liège, Belgium. Between 1909 and 1960 the company expanded significantly to the south of the town with the six large foundaries. Today only foundaries 1, 2 and 6 are intact. The industry struggled for its existence for the last decades.
