Dear friends, it is my unfortunate duty to pass the word that a 20
year friend from Bisbee, AZ, has been robbed of his retirement
collection in the last 48 hours. The theft included classic old
Bisbee copper minerals, and other local specimens such as
wulfenite.Watch for a large plate [3 ft.] of Japan-Law Twins from
the Holland Mine, Duquesne [Washington Camp] AZ. It is likely some
of these stolen specimens [flats+] are on their way to, or at
Quartzite already. If you find or are offered specimens without
proper labels or provenance, please contact the Cochise County AZ
Sheriff's office immediately! TOLL FREE: 1-800-362-0812 refer to the
Alexander case of theft in Alfreida,AZ. Thanks again, for we must
all watch out for each other. Frank Lavoie
Follow-up, January 18th 2004 (Frank
Lavoie Rocky Enterprises/Timeless Gem Mines)
We have recovered the Japan-Law Twin specimen from Duquesne, Arizona [50,000
$us] which also gave us a trail to follow and it leads to the loosely
organized gang that operates in AZ, Colorado, and California! I have a
detailed list of missing specimens available for interested parties (click on
Frank Lavoie to activate his emaillink)..
In response to this situation [many miners and dealers reported a dramatic
increase in "unauthorized removals" in this period just before the
Quartzite and Tucson mineral 'shows'] ...we have initiated an "Anti-highgraders"
educational campaign, complete with a FREE poster picture to add one's own
caption to share and use as one sees fit, AND a fine T-shirt with an
"Old West" theme, four very tough characters in 1880 period costumes
here in the "Town too tough to die" Tombstone, AZ, with the words
"The Law is Coming.." and "And tell them Hell is coming with us"
and of course, they are armed to the teeth with pistols! Details on how to
obtain the T-shirt or poster please email Frank Lavoie.
